About Mike
Mike is very fortunate in that he has worked for Northstar for all of his 25 years’ experience, and has been able to surround himself with high caliber, experienced healthcare PDC program managers to learn the best way to deliver capital improvement projects. He has grown through the ranks and carried several titles from Project Manager, Medical Equipment Specialist, Sr. Project Manager, and ultimately Project Principal and Director for various healthcare capital improvement initiatives, ranging from minor renovations to major, multi-phased, new and replacement facilities. Mike is recognized as an excellent project process leader and continuously delivers successful projects.
Healthcare Design Work
My role in healthcare design is most beneficial at the early stages of a project. Many times, I’m involved in the facility master plans that set the overall direction, and then I have the ability to execute those master plan projects according to the objectives. This provides a high level of confidence and continuity for the organization’s leadership that their overall goal is being achieved. Additionally, I’ve been responsible as the Medical Equipment Specialist (planner) resource on several major projects. Performing as part of the design team in this Medical Equipment Planner role has helped to identify the potential pitfalls related to complex medical equipment, which is critical to have incorporated in the early design phases to avoid obstacles later in the project.

Mike loves the outdoors and in his free time you’ll find him spending time with his wife and daughters either snow skiing, boating or fishing, or on an adventurous trip somewhere new
