BEWARE OF SCAMS

The Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo has recently seen an increase in fraudulent activity by third-party groups attempting to capitalize on the success of our event. Exhibitors and attendees have reported receiving unsolicited phone calls and emails offering services such as hotel and travel accommodations, lead generation, list sales, and transportation services.

Please be advised that many of these communications are scams.

HFSE and its official vendors do not sell, rent, share, or distribute exhibitor or attendee lists—ever. Additionally, HFSE and its authorized partners do not send emails from Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, or other generic email domains. Any organization claiming to represent HFSE using these methods is not affiliated with us. We strongly advise you not to click on links or provide information in response to suspicious emails or calls.

The most frequent and misleading solicitations involve:

  • Housing companies claiming to offer discounted room blocks at our host hotel or nearby properties
  • List-management companies claiming to have access to the HFSE attendee database

These offers are fraudulent. HFSE does not work with housing companies, nor do we provide attendee contact information to any third party.

If you are contacted by any individual or business claiming to be an HFSE-authorized vendor—or implying an affiliation with HFSE—we request that you report it immediately by forwarding the communication to:

If you receive a solicitation and are interested in the services being offered, please verify the vendor’s legitimacy with Lou Mancini before entering into any agreement.

Please also be aware that some fraudulent communications include unauthorized use of the HFSE logo or falsely represent the sender as a member of the JD Events team.
