Allison Ballantine, MD, MEd, is Associate Chief Medical Officer at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Middleman Family Pavilion and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She played a lead role in the design and development of the clinical aspects of the Middleman Family Pavilion. In her clinical practice, Dr. Ballantine focuses on the inpatient care of medically complex children. Dr. Ballantine has led multiple programs and initiatives at CHOP and Penn. Most recently, before her current role, she was Senior Medical Director and Section Chief of Inpatient Services for the Division of General Pediatrics. Dr. Ballantine earned her medical degree at Penn State College of Medicine. She completed her residency in General Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and holds a master's in Education from the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
