Dr. Ryan Walsh is the Chief Medical Information Officer for Ambulatory Care and Population Health at Memorial Hermann. Prior to this he held similar roles at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and Unity Point Health. He is responsible for ensuring the flow of critical information to clinicians and ensuring it meets the “5 Rights” (right information, right place, right intervention, right format, right timing in the workflow.) Memorial Hermann is located in Houston Texas and is the largest provider by volume in the Greater Houston Metropolitan Service area. Their network consists of 19 hospitals and over 6000 affiliated physicians. Dr. Walsh has been a practicing Family Physician since 2005, practicing a full scope of Family Medicine services. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and in the School of Biomedical Informatics. Dr. Walsh is a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians.
