  Mr. Uhaze a registered architect and has worked in the field of healthcare design for the past 40yrs. For 28 of those years he was employed by the State of New Jersey as the Authority Having Jurisdiction over the construction and renovation of every healthcare facility in the state. While with the State of New Jersey, he served on numerous committees including the Barrier Free Committee, Fire Safety Committee, and the Codes Advisory Board.


He is a 25 year member of the Facility Guidelines Institute-Health Guidelines Revisions Committee, he has served as the Co-Chair of the Hospital Document Sub-committee, has been a member of the Steering Committee, was HGRC Vice Chairman of the 2018 edition and is the HGRC Chairman of the 2022 edition.


He previously served as a 20 year member of the NCPCCI Test Development Committee. This 10 person committee writes and maintains the national construction code inspectors certification examinations used throughout the U.S. for the licensing of building inspectors.


He is a frequent speaker throughout the Delaware Valley area as well as across the country and is currently providing consultation to the healthcare industry regarding the FGI Guidelines, NJ State Standards, NFPA Standards and the International Building Code.
