Les Matthews, MDChief of Orthopedic SurgeryMedStar Health
Dr. Les Mathews serves as the Medical Director of MedStar Orthopaedics and the Chief of Orthopaedics and Director of the Medical Residency Program for MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 35 years. He is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, fellowship trained in sports medicine, specializing in reconstructive knee, shoulder surgery and sports medicine. He is also past president of The Arthroscopy Association of North America. He remains active in a number of professional societies including The Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, The American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and The American Orthopedic Association. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University and was named 2015 "Top Docs" by Baltimore Magazine for general orthopaedics.
