Andrew ShinnSenior Planner, Real Estate, Planning, ConstructionBrigham and Women's Hospital
Andrew is an architect and planner at heart. With several years of formal architecture schooling in Boston and abroad, and a propensity for long term relationships with internal clients and outside consultants, Andrew finds his efforts are best spent working with large institutions in constant need of change. Andrew strives to improve things like access within healthcare not just through facility design and wayfinding, but by creating a participatory built environment that is intuitive and supportive to those who use it. Andrew’s interest in signage and wayfinding carried him though several years supporting improvement efforts in New England hospitals. Andrew owes his career to years of working with expert design professionals, care providers, staff in just about every capacity, memorable patients and visiting families.
