M.J. Gallop is the Project Specialist for Arts Integration at the Center for Performing Arts Medicine at Houston Methodist. In addition to coordinating the Crain Garden Performance Series, which hosts over 100 performances each year, M.J. is the founding director of the Houston Methodist Singers, the employee choir of Houston Methodist. A church musician for over 15 years, M.J. studied choral conducting, church music, and theology at Baylor University, completing the Master of Music degree and the Master of Divinity degree. He serves as organist, pianist and choral director at the First Congregational Church (UCC) in Houston. M.J. is married to Nate Jones, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Texas Children’s Hospital. Together, they enjoy cooking, traveling, and being the proud parents of two rambunctious children.
