Jessica Gutierrez-Rodriguez is a healthcare executive with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare operations, facilities management, hospital administration, behavioral health, quality, and regulatory compliance. She currently serves as Senior Executive Director of Clinical Facilities at UT Health San Antonio, where she provides strategic leadership for the planning, development, and operational oversight of clinical facilities across the health system.

Most recently, Jessica has played a key leadership role in the development and operation of the state-of-the-art Multispecialty and Research Hospital (MSRH), advancing a complex healthcare environment designed to support innovative research, education, and high-quality patient care for communities across South Texas.

Jessica’s diverse leadership experience includes more than 10 years in mental health and behavioral health, serving as Assistant Administrator at the San Antonio State Hospital. In that role, she provided oversight for Facilities Management, the Environment of Care program, Food and Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, and Revenue Cycle Management. This experience shaped her understanding of the unique operational, regulatory, and environmental challenges associated with behavioral healthcare and strengthened her commitment to creating safe, healing environments for both patients and caregivers.

Prior to joining UT Health San Antonio, Jessica served as Hospital Administrator for the Texas Center for Infectious Disease, a specialized facility dedicated to the treatment of patients with complex and drug-resistant tuberculosis. During her tenure, she provided leadership across hospital operations and played an important role in strengthening care delivery, operational performance, and patient outcomes in the highly specialized infectious disease environment.

Jessica is a respected speaker and advocate within the healthcare community. She has presented at numerous healthcare conferences and participated in podcasts focused on healthcare leadership, facilities, and the patient experience. She was featured on the Designing Care on Air podcast in the episode, “From Open Heart to Open Doors: Building the Next Era of Texas Healthcare,” and previously served as the closing keynote speaker at the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo, where she delivered her presentation, “Leading with Heart.”
