About Christine
Christine Strom is a Director of Planning & Construction for Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, NMHC, a healthcare system comprised of 11 hospitals and more than 200 ambulatory and diagnostic sites. Christine’s focus for the health system resides with the Academic Medical Center Campus and surrounding City properties. In her career at NMHC, Christine has led various projects across the health system including the Galter Inpatient Bed Expansion, the McHenry Hospital Bed Privatization, and the Lake Forest Hospital Pavilion Expansion. Christine has been in the design and construction industry for over 20 years and is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois.
Healthcare Design Work
Medicine Planning & Construction team. My early engagement was heavily focused on healthcare infrastructure, and has progressed to deliver an array of healthcare design construction efforts from ground up hospitals and medical office buildings to large interior renovations of surgical and procedural platform space and more. I enjoy every part of the project delivery in healthcare from collaborating with our clinical and facilities teams, engaging with talented healthcare designers and medical equipment planners, partnering with sophisticated healthcare construction managers; all collaborating to bring incredible spaces to patients.

Fun Fact
I ran my first marathon 8 months after having my second daughter. I ran New York City to fundraise for Resolve.org.
This past April, I ran my 5th marathon, my first Boston.
