Sarah is an Architect with over 20 years of experience and specializes in Science and Healthcare building planning. In her current role, Sarah manages all space planning projects at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). Sarah recently helped lead a strategic master plan effort for the Department of Surgery and is currently working on similar efforts for the Department of Medicine and Radiology. Sarah is also responsible for managing the planning of BIDMC’s New Inpatient Building. Sarah and her in-house team are responsible for working with BIDMC staff to generate all initial design concepts before outside consultants are engaged. Her experience includes analyzing data and distilling site, project, and user information to guide the design process. She is skilled at advocating for the user while also working to achieve leadership’s goals through an iterative and consensus-building planning process.
