Sonja Bochart, IIDA, LEED AP BD&C, WELL APPrincipalShepley Bulfinch

Sonja Bochart has over twenty years of experience as a designer, educator and workshop facilitator - guiding the creation of spaces for human and ecological health and well-being. Her projects include national healthcare, education, cultural and workplace designs, including LEED, Living Building Challenge and WELL Building certified projects. Sonja currently serves on the Biophilic Design Initiative advisory board council for the International Living Future Institute, and on the board for Green Plants for Green Buildings. With her foundation in design, complimented with a healing arts background, Sonja leads team interactive design workshops in biophilic design (human nature connection); weaving together education and research, nature-immersion, mindfulness, play and interactive team charettes. Sonja helps to guide project teams in achieving optimal benefits in supporting occupant health, happiness and healing in the built environment.
