Since he joined William Rawn Associates twenty years ago, Sam has focused on complex institutional projects and their relationship to the public realm. These include projects such as the Taussig Cancer Center for the Cleveland Clinic, Tata Hall at Harvard Business School, and a United States Courthouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Sam also led the design of Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley, MA and The Pritzker Science Center at Milton Academy. He is currently leading the design of the King Open/Cambridge Street Upper School and Community Complex in Cambridge, MA, the firm’s, and the City’s, first Net Zero Emissions project. Sam has taught design studios at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design on multiple occasions and was the recipient of the AIA Young Architects Award in 2008. Sam is a graduate of Yale University and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
