John C. Jones, EMBA, CDM is a Community Liaison currently working within the Social Determinants of Health Office for ProMedica. As a Mission-driven organization, ProMedica is deeply committed to being integrators of care for communities. As an anchor institution, they are also increasingly focused on the outside factors that affect health and well-being. In this role, John serves both the enterprise and the community through the development of mentoring programs, as well as training and placement of youth, young adults and other diverse individuals in employment opportunities. In between his first and second tours with ProMedica, John served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Toledo Urban League, Inc. from May of 2008 until May of 2012. Through solid programming and timely advocacy in areas of education, employment and family enrichment, the Greater Toledo Urban League swiftly became a thought leader in the Toledo Region. John is a proud alumnus of Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio where he received his undergraduate degree in 1996. He went on to receive the Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) at the University of Toledo in 2013. In 2016, he completed his Certificate in Diversity Management through the American Hospital Association's Institute for Diversity and Health Equity. John has been the recipient of numerous awards, including induction into the 2008 Class of 20 Under 40 for Toledo and recipient of the 2010 Calla Lilly Educator Award from the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. Beta Gamma Chapter.
