Chair of the Center for Music Therapy since 2004 and a Music Therapist at The Music Settlement since 1988, Ronna Kaplan, MA, MT-BC, has served clients from premature infants to adults through age 103 with varied disabilities and levels of functioning. Ronna earned a B Mus in Music Therapy and Music Education from Michigan State University and a MA in Special Education from Kent State University. She holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Case Western Reserve University, as well as certificates in DIRR/FloortimeTM and Orff Level I. A Past President of the American Music Ronna led the AMTA Diversity Task Force from 2010-2015. She has numerous publications to her credit and has lectured and presented widely. Currently, Ronna serves as a member of AMTA’s Autism Spectrum Disorder Task Force Work Group and is an Associate editor for Music Therapy Perspectives. She is Chair of the National Coalition of Creative Arts Therapies Associations (NCCATA).
