Gail ZarrenProgram Director of Expanded Arts Access and Healing Arts for KidsYoung Audiences

Gail Zarren, a passionate advocate for the arts, has served on initiatives to cultivate the arts in MA for 30 years. As Program Director of Expanded Arts Access and Healing Arts for Kids at Young Audiences of MA, Gail develops and implements arts education programs in educational and healing settings serving youth. Gail is the founder of Healing Arts for Kids, which received a Best Practices Award from Young Audiences National, and is the recipient of Horizons for Homeless Children’s Sue Heilman Award for Excellence for her work designing and implementing Expanding Horizons Through Music, a program using music to strengthen the literacy and social/emotional development for children attending Horizon’s preschool programs. Gail is a licensed clinical social worker and brings this expertise to her work with teaching artists in creating and providing programs.
