Stuart Archer is a skilled health care leader with expertise in multi-state, multi-site hospital operations. He is passionate about improving access to behavioral health services in underserved communities and regularly works with legislative and advocacy leaders to ensure coverage for in-demand treatment. Archer joined behavioral health provider Oceans Healthcare in November 2014. Since that time the organization has increased lives impacted by nearly 25%, expanded services in many of its Louisiana and Texas facilities, added two de novo facilities and acquired a behavioral health network in Mississippi. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at LifeCare Management Services, a pioneer in long-term acute care with 24 hospitals across nine states. There, he led all aspects of the company’s day-to-day operations. Prior to joining LifeCare, Archer served more than a decade as Senior Vice President of Market Development for LHC Group, a leading national provider of post-acute care services with 350 locations across 29 states. In addition to his work with Oceans, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Association for Behavioral Healthcare, an advocacy organization committed to working to ensure public policies, laws and regulations support the needs of people who live with mental and addictive disorders. Archer was recently named EY’s Entrepreneur of The Year® 2018 in the Health category for the Southwest region. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who are excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their business and community.
