Rachel Gibson, JD, MPP, is Director of the Safer Chemicals Program for Health Care Without Harm. In this position, she supports health care’s transition to safer materials and chemicals and advances a healthy materials economy through market, regulatory, and legislative campaigns. Ms. Gibson previously directed statewide campaigns for the advocacy and research organization Environment California, and worked as an environmental litigation associate at the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. Ms. Gibson clerked for the Honorable Michael R. Murphy of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She has authored and co-authored a number of reports on chemicals and health. Ms. Gibson received her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, J.D. from UC Berkeley Law, and Master in Public Policy from Harvard University.
