Leonard Taylor is the SVP for Asset Planning at the University of Maryland Medical System. He leads projects with high institutional impact. Among these is a planned $275 million multi-phased capital project that will provide all new facilities for the cancer care and a new outpatient home for transplant, cardiac and other complex medical services. Previously as the SVP of Operations and Support Services at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) he maintained, sustained, and improved the “environment of care,” the supply chain, and capital infrastructure. Under his leadership the Medical Center “greened” operations and incorporated sustainability into daily operations, capital investment decision making, and construction. Prior to joining the UMMC Mr. Taylor was the Director of the NIH Office of Research Facilities Development & Operations (ORF). ORF manages all real estate and facility based operations nation-wide for the NIH. Mr. Taylor is a licensed architect.
