Colleen Borrelli is a Senior Administrator and Burke Rehabilitation Hospital’s first Vice President of Patient Experience. Prior to this position, she worked in external relations where her role was to secure corporate and foundation support for the hospital’s patient programs and key initiatives. Colleen started her career in the Congressional office of Representative Nita M. Lowey where she served as a liaison to government officials, managed constituent casework, represented the Congresswoman in the community and advanced to become Deputy District Director. From Lowey's office, Colleen became Mercy College's first Director of Government & Community Relations. There she enlisted support for legislation that impacted higher education and secured $6 Million in government funding for capital projects. Colleen’s passion for and commitment to person centered care is a common thread in her career and the creation of the Marsal Caregiver Center at Burke is the perfect representation of it. She is pleased to have the opportunity to speak about the project at the 2019 Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo.
