J. Mike Bellamy is NFS’ Director, Construction Acquisition and Capital Projects. Mike has over 30 years of public and private sector capital planning, design and construction experience. He’s led major projects and program that result in $6 billion in capital improvement for owners located in the United States and internationally in Europe, Africa, UAE, Central America and the Caribbean. He has been involved in the design and construction of healthcare facilities and nearly every other building type to include major cultural facilities like the $500M National Museum for African American History and Culture that opened in 2016 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Mike earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and master of science degree in building construction management from Purdue University. He’s a registered professional engineer in the State of Virginia. He and his wife Kim have been married for 35 years and have three grown children and one grandchild.
