Marie¬ Carmelle Elie, MD, RDMS FACEP, is an Associate Professor and Director of Research with the UF Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Elie’s research focuses on the biomarker detection and the prevention of complications often suffered by critical care patients. She is currently the site principal investigator (PI) for the LIPS¬A study, an NIH funded trial that investigates the use of aspirin in preventing acute lung injury. She has been recognized many times with Faculty of the Year awards as a clinical educator.
