Debra Lemons, AIA, IIDAPrincipal of DesignL2 Studios, Inc.
With over 25 years in the practice of architecture and interior design, and with licenses in multiple states, Debra Lemons specializes in the design of hospitality, resort, hotel, resort sales galleries and themed leisure environments. As Principal of Design at L2 Studios, Inc., she establishes and often executes the design direction for many of the firm’s projects. Debra manages the firm’s interior design department and interfaces with the firm's blue chip clients including Marriott, Hilton, Starwood and Intercontinental Group. Having spent over 18 years in hospitality design, Debra demonstrates a unique passion and design philosophy toward “Guest Experience,” which in a paradigm of consumerism, translates seamlessly across all markets in the form of employee experience and customer experience. She served as a hospitality “Contrarian” for Florida Hospital in Orlando on the Ginsburg Tower, Celebration, and Women’s Tower. Her unique approach identifies the culture, psychographics, and demographics of the owner, developer, operator, and the customer combined with evidence-based design research to develop unique and purposefully designed experiences. She has served as a panelist and presenter at several resort development conventions and published articles in development magazines on the subject of guest and customer experience in the resort industry. Debra is a member of the Central Florida chapters of American Institute of Architects, IIDA, and Commercial Real Estate Women. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and Master of Architecture from Texas Tech University in 1989 and 1994, respectively, and has practiced both architecture and interior design locally in Orlando, as well as in Dallas, Texas prior to joining L2 Studios, Inc. She resides in Orlando, Florida with her husband and business partner, Tim Lemons, and two daughters
