Dr. Ruth Thomson is a provider in the section of Palliative Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and serves as the Medical Director of the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care, which opened in December 2017. She previously practiced hospice and palliative care at Ohio's Hospice for 16 years and served as the organization's Chief Medical Officer for 6 years. During her tenure there, she completed her MBA in 2016 at Wright State University Raj Soin College of Business. Dr. Thomson is triple boarded, having achieved Internal Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Hospice Medical Director Board Certification. Dedicated to educating clinicians in the field, she holds an appointment as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
