Luke Leyden, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Design Team Lead is a registered architect overseeing design within the 4.75 million square feet of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics facilities. Luke has spent the last 14 years focusing exclusively on the design of health care facilities, looking for ways to improve the patient and visitor experience. Prior to working for UIHC, he worked for over 10 years at Heery International leading healthcare projects, including work on the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital which has received national attention as part of the “Iowa Wave” from Kinnick Stadium to the Hospital. Within the last 4 years, he has overseen $1 billion worth of construction projects at UIHC.
