Laura Adams, MSN, RNSenior Nursing DirectorUniversity of Utah Health Sciences Hospital
With over 30 years as a registered nurse, construction projects have consistently been part of my practice. From remodeling a nursing station to functioning as the lead nurse consultant for several new hospitals, it is my pleasure to have architects, design plans and construction sites integrated into my nursing practice. I value the vision which allows architects and nursing to work together to create innovative nursing units which are ascetically pleasing and also allows patients to have a holistic environment for healing. I focus on improving the workflow for nurses. I am originally from Los Angeles, my career has taken me to Berkeley, Hawaii and Colorado where construction projects have awaited me. I have been at the University of Utah Hospital as the Senior Nursing Director for Inpatient Acute Care and Behavioral Health Services for 10 years. I am proud to have my own hard hat!
