Former CEO, Indian Health Services Kayenta Service Unit
Now retired, Linda White is the former Chief Executive Officer for the Indian Health Service’s Kayenta Service Unit on the Navajo Nation. Prior to that, she was the Nutrition and Dietetics Consultant for the Navajo Area IHS and in that position conducted multiple research projects on changes in the health status of Navajos followed by a number of journal publications on the research. Prior to employment with Indian Health Service, Ms. White worked as a Registered Dietitian for the Oklahoma Department of Health, the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma--of which she is a member, the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, and the US Department of Agriculture. She received a B.S. in Nutrition, Dietetics and Institution Administration from Oklahoma State University and her M.P.H. from the University of Minnesota.
