David Lenart has worked in healthcare facilities management for 20 years. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, an MBA from Indiana University Northwest and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Indiana. He has received several recognitions: 2010 Facilities Manager of the Year from Today's Facilities Manager magazine, 2010 Supply Chain Excellence from the Volunteer Hospital Association, 2007 ASHES Housekeeping Department of the Year runner-up and 2008 Institute for Healthcare Improvement Quality Impact. He has contributed to cutting-edge vendor participation efforts, like Nurse Call and Building Automation Systems, which received international recognition. David has covered topics like patient satisfaction, employee engagement, patient/staff workflows, benchmarking supply costs, facilities excellence and disaster response and recovery.
