Having been involved in over $1 billion in healthcare/ academic and research projects, Tarek has gleaned valuable lessons in developing programs, projects and campuses for the past 20 years in the Houston Texas Medical Center and now in Galveston County for the University of Texas Medical Branch. Tarek is a Program Director of Capital Projects and has recently taken over the Program for the development and expansion of the UTMB League City Campus while completing a 500 Million dollar Infrastructure Program on Galveston Island that was part of Hurricane Ike recovery. Tarek is a member of American Society of Healthcare Engineers and certified in Healthcare Construction by ASHE.
