Mark W. Kieran, MD, PhD, is Director of Pediatric Medical Neuro-Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Childrenís Hospital Boston. He is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Kieranís primary research interest is the development of new therapies for children with brain tumors. His laboratory has tested many new biologic and anti-angiogenic agents and many of these are currently being evaluated in patients. Dr. Kieran is a member of the Society for Neuro-Oncology, the Society of Pediatric Research, and the American Society for Clinical Oncology. He is the pediatric editor of Neuro-Oncology and serves on the Editorial Board of Childís Nervous System. He is a recipient of many awards including the Nick Palmer Lecture Award from the International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro-Oncology.
