William W. Heun AIA

Bill Heun has thirty-three years of professional experience and provides direction in planning, design and execution of healthcare projects across the country. He joined Matthei & Colin in 1978 and was appointed as partner in 1989. Having extensive practice on broad-based healthcare commissions, Bill has the authority to deliver resources and support to client leadership. He works closely with his team to establish processes, work plans, procedures and set expectations that ensure compliance with client goals and requirements. Actively leading meetings, he encourages collaboration and effective decision making within the entire project team. Bill is involved and responsible for the performance of the design team through all project phases.
Bill has been featured as a speaker and panelist in numerous conferences, most recently on topics that include budget and schedule management, emergency room planning and design and cancer care facilities design. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from University of Arizona and is affiliated with National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), American Institute of Architects (AIA), International Congress of Building Officials, Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), and American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) and is currently Chair – Board of Trustees of The Avery Coonley School.
