An Intuitive Design Workshop
, SPLINTER ARCHITECTS
Gregory Splinter, a Wisconsin-based architect and Generative Space Task Force (GSTF) member, will present a workshop during the annual Healthcare Facilities Symposium and Expo, in Boston, MA, on Thursday, September 19, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Titled ‘An Intuitive Design Workshop’, it is a two-hour long program..
Each participant will have the opportunity to access their deep inner wisdom by creating their own intuitive drawing, and interpret their drawing, through an immersive experience facilitated by Gregory.
While facilitating a previous workshop, Gregory created his own, personal, intuitive design drawing – which he describes as:
‘The magic for me was, with the participants' help, discerning and interpreting this drawing as being a musical instrument. The participants helped me connect the idea that my best service to others, as the workshop facilitator, was to be an ‘instrument!’ That meant I wasn't the music. I wasn't the musician. I was, in the best possible sense, the instrument which others played to make their own special music. I was ‘instrumental’ for others to express their best possible selves, to beautifully connect with their own reality, in their own expressive fashion.’
A participant in Gregory’s 2018 Austin, TX workshop, described his experience as:
Gregory’s “Intuitive Design Workshop’ was an eye-opening and mind-expanding exercise in pure creativity with nearly no restrictions, stress, or pressure to “get it right.”. Relaxed with dream-like music while rubbing vibrant pastels against midnight black palettes, our ideas flowed, and colors glowed like neon against the dark void. Our presentations to our non-judgmental peers were a cathartic expression of soul-searching and shared empathy. There is no charge to attend this workshop. It is open to all HFSE attendees, and members of the professional Boston-area community. It is necessary to register here.
